Our school choir under the leadership of Mrs Wheeler and Mr Guillot have gone from strength to strength with 50+ children now regularly singing each Tuesday after school.  The choir is made up of KS2 children although we also are working with our youngest children and training them to sing in their own choir.

Your dedication, talent, and teamwork have truly shone through, making us immensely proud. A heartfelt thank you to Mr Guillot and Mrs Wheeler for all your hard work. Your contributions have been invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for all that you do.

Blake Concert - 16th December 2016

The choir were asked to perform with Blake at their concert at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham.  The music was very challenging and the children did a fantastic job - well done!

Rugby League Four Nations Final at Anfield - 20th November 2016

Following on from singing at Wembley last year, our choir were asked to sing at Anfield at the 4 Nations final between Australia and New Zealand.  Photos are below.

The day began very early as we made our way to Liverpool from Blackpool (Sunday 20th November 2016).

It was cold and we had to rehearse outside the stadium in the car park and on the side of the pitch. Then as the crowd began to build we were ushered into the centre circle at Anfield. We faced the Centenary Stand which is huge and sang both national anthems. It was just as well that we were loud as the PA system failed so the opera singers who were singing the national anthem could not be heard.

We stayed and watched the game and then made our way home but on the way out we bumped into Leon Pryce who plays for Great Britain and we had our photo with him! It was a really good day!

Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley - 29th August 2015

Our choir were fortunate enough to sing on the hallowed Wembley turf at the end of August; you can see photos of this here...

...and an article which one of the children who performed at Wembley wrote for the Gazette is here.

There are also lots of photos HERE on this third party website.

In spring 2015 some of our choir were asked to sing in English Touring Opera's production of Puccini's La Bohéme when they performed in Blackpool. You can see photos from this great opportunity here:

The choir have also been asked to sing at the Winter Gardens, at the Christmas Tree lights switch-on in Marton, Children in Need, Schools Alive, the Blackburn Diocese Summer Festival as well as at church and regularly in school.

We are always looking for new opportunities for the children to entertain and practise their talents!

In 2014 the choir came runner-up in the Blackpool choir of the year competition.
