Christmas Jumper Day

This year, on Thursday 7th December, we will be holding our 'Christmas Jumper Day' in school. It's a non-uniform day, where children are encouraged to wear something festive, and this year we are asking for donations for two worthy causes. We have been asked to bring in food donations for food banks, organised by Sport Blackpool and Wigan Warriors Rugby.

'We are still asking schools to collect any tins and food that can be donated to the local food bank to distribute to those families who need it most at this time of year and collect at school. We know that the cost-of-living crisis is impacting everyone. If you are in a position to donate, even one tin of food, every donation is hugely appreciated. The food items they're most in need of are tinned peas, tinned carrots, tinned sweetcorn, tinned potatoes, instant mash and rice, tins of soup, veg, meat, rice pudding etc., pasta, pasta sauces, Sauce mixes etc.' Thank you.
