PE Premium

The PE Premium is funding which is given to every primary school in the country by the Government, to allow schools to build a legacy for the 2012 Olympic Games.  Schools are asked to use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.

You can see from the plans below how we spent this funding last year and what impact it has had, also what our plans are for this year.

Swimming

All schools are required to publish how many pupils within their Year 6 cohort are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations. 

Our figures for the 2023-24 Year 6 cohort are:

Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres: 98.3%

Use a range of strokes effectively: 98.3%

Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations: 78.3%
